# Fishbox vs TrueLean

The clearest difference is ads: TrueLean at none against Fishbox's shown. TrueLean also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.6). Fishbox's advantage is ratings volume (39K vs 8) and chart position (#77 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fishbox sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and TrueLean sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TrueLean holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fishbox has 39K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Fishbox ships an update every 10 days, TrueLean fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
