# BAND vs CWOWI Connect

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CWOWI Connect at none against BAND's 10. CWOWI Connect also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). BAND's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (72K vs 3). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BAND sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. CWOWI Connect asks for nothing beyond the download.

CWOWI Connect holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BAND has 72K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BAND ships an update weekly, CWOWI Connect every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
