# SWEC vs SPEC.coop

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SWEC at 30% against SPEC.coop's 0%. SPEC.coop's advantage is rating (3.4 vs 3.1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SPEC.coop holds the better App Store score, 3.4 against 3.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 18 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of SWEC's written reviews are positive against 0% of SPEC.coop's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SWEC ships an update every 6 months, SPEC.coop every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
