# Sound Effects.! vs Stock

The clearest difference is ads: Stock at none against Sound Effects.!'s shown. Stock also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). Sound Effects.!'s advantage is ratings volume (1.9K vs 19). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Stock holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sound Effects.! has 1.9K ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 87% of Sound Effects.!'s written reviews are positive against 82% of Stock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
