# Solitaire Now vs Solitaire

The clearest difference is ads: Solitaire at none against Solitaire Now's shown. Solitaire also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months) and rating (4.8 vs 4.4). Solitaire Now's advantage is review sentiment (86% vs 75%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Solitaire holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 16 and 53 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of Solitaire Now's written reviews are positive against 75% of Solitaire's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Solitaire Now ships an update every 4 months, Solitaire every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
