# YouTube vs CameraFi Live

The clearest difference is ads: CameraFi Live at none against YouTube's shown. CameraFi Live also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). YouTube's advantage is ratings volume (50M vs 316) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. YouTube sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month and CameraFi Live sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

YouTube holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: YouTube has 50M ratings behind it against 316, so its average is the more settled of the two.

YouTube ships an update weekly, CameraFi Live every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
