# Backgammon Classic Board Live vs Backgammon Tournament online

The clearest difference is update cadence: Backgammon Classic Board Live at every 11 days against Backgammon Tournament online's every 2 months. Backgammon Classic Board Live also leads on ratings volume (53K vs 164) and review sentiment (25% vs 13%). Backgammon Tournament online's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backgammon Classic Board Live sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Backgammon Tournament online sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Backgammon Tournament online holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Backgammon Classic Board Live has 53K ratings behind it against 164, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Backgammon Classic Board Live's written reviews are positive against 13% of Backgammon Tournament online's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Backgammon Classic Board Live ships an update every 11 days, Backgammon Tournament online every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
