# Orange Alert vs Orange Tree

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Orange Alert at none against Orange Tree's 3. Orange Alert also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (78% vs 65%). Orange Tree's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.8) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 34 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Orange Tree sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Orange Alert asks for nothing beyond the download.

Orange Tree holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Orange Tree has 200 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Orange Alert's written reviews are positive against 65% of Orange Tree's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Orange Alert ships an update every 34 months, Orange Tree every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 16, 2026.
