# iDataSafe vs IronCrypto

The clearest difference is rating: IronCrypto at 4.7 against iDataSafe's 3.6. IronCrypto also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (73% vs 55%). iDataSafe's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iDataSafe sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and IronCrypto sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

IronCrypto holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IronCrypto has 207 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 55% of iDataSafe's written reviews are positive against 73% of IronCrypto's.

iDataSafe ships an update every 2 months, IronCrypto every 6 days. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
