# Amazon Prime Video vs Zee 5

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Amazon Prime Video at 3.1M against Zee 5's 24K. Amazon Prime Video also leads on chart position (#8 vs #114). Zee 5's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Amazon Prime Video sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month and Zee 5 sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Amazon Prime Video against 4.6 for Zee 5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Amazon Prime Video has 3.1M ratings behind it against 24K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 17% of Amazon Prime Video's written reviews are positive against 15% of Zee 5's.

Amazon Prime Video ships an update every 4 days, Zee 5 every 6 days. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
