# PC Games vs BA News

The clearest difference is monetization model: BA News at free with in-app purchases against PC Games's subscription. BA News also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 6 months) and review sentiment (57% vs 41%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PC Games sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $15.99 per 3 months and BA News sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PC Games ships an update every 6 months, BA News every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
