# Bütton View vs Bear

The clearest difference is update cadence: Bear at every 2 weeks against Bütton View's every 2 months. Bear also leads on ratings volume (6.9K vs 5) and review sentiment (77% vs 68%). Bütton View's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bütton View sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Bear sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Bütton View against 4.7 for Bear. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bear has 6.9K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 68% of Bütton View's written reviews are positive against 77% of Bear's.

Bütton View ships an update every 2 months, Bear every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
