# Cheesar HD vs Lie Detector

The clearest difference is rating: Lie Detector at 5.0 against Cheesar HD's 4.4. Cheesar HD's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cheesar HD sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Lie Detector sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lie Detector holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cheesar HD has 139 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Cheesar HD ships an update every 9 days, Lie Detector every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
