# GPGuide vs Formulap

The clearest difference is rating: Formulap at 5.0 against GPGuide's 4.3. Formulap also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). GPGuide's advantage is review sentiment (65% vs 50%) and ratings volume (43 vs 5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GPGuide sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Formulap sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Formulap holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GPGuide has 43 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of GPGuide's written reviews are positive against 50% of Formulap's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GPGuide ships an update every 2 weeks, Formulap weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
