# Password Control vs SmartKi Access

The clearest difference is monetization model: SmartKi Access at free against Password Control's paid. SmartKi Access also leads on update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 9 months). Password Control's advantage is ratings volume (150 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Password Control against 5.0 for SmartKi Access. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Password Control has 150 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Password Control ships an update every 9 months, SmartKi Access every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
