# Zoom Workplace vs Microsoft Teams

Zoom Workplace and Microsoft Teams both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 57% of Zoom Workplace's written reviews are positive against 24% of Microsoft Teams's. Zoom Workplace also leads on device support (5 vs 3) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Microsoft Teams's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Zoom Workplace sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $10.00 per month and Microsoft Teams sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Zoom Workplace against 4.8 for Microsoft Teams. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3.3M and 3.4M respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 57% of Zoom Workplace's written reviews are positive against 24% of Microsoft Teams's.

Zoom Workplace ships an update every 3 weeks, Microsoft Teams weekly. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
