# Drivers Ed vs DMV Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Drivers Ed at 4.6 against DMV Pro's 4.3. Drivers Ed also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 48) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). DMV Pro's advantage is update cadence (every 5 months vs every 20 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drivers Ed sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and DMV Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Drivers Ed holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drivers Ed has 1.1K ratings behind it against 48, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 75% of Drivers Ed's written reviews are positive against 73% of DMV Pro's.

Drivers Ed ships an update every 20 months, DMV Pro every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
