# Chess!! vs Easy Chess ™

The clearest difference is rating: Easy Chess ™ at 4.5 against Chess!!'s 4.0. Easy Chess ™ also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (497 vs 60). Chess!!'s advantage is update cadence (every 5 months vs every 13 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chess!! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Easy Chess ™ sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Easy Chess ™ holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Easy Chess ™ has 497 ratings behind it against 60, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of Chess!!'s written reviews are positive against 64% of Easy Chess ™'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Chess!! ships an update every 5 months, Easy Chess ™ every 13 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
