# Shift Planning Calendar vs Supershift

The clearest difference is ads: Shift Planning Calendar at none against Supershift's shown. Shift Planning Calendar also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 18). Supershift's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks) and review sentiment (96% vs 83%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shift Planning Calendar sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and Supershift sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Shift Planning Calendar against 4.9 for Supershift. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Supershift has 5.8K ratings behind it against 817, so its average is the more settled of the two.
