# Drillbook Next vs HD

The clearest difference is price: HD at Free against Drillbook Next's $9.99. HD also leads on rating (5.0 vs 3.4). Drillbook Next's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 10 months) and ratings volume (19 vs 3). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

HD is free to download; Drillbook Next costs $9.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HD holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drillbook Next has 19 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Drillbook Next ships an update every 2 weeks, HD every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
