# Travel Docs vs Airside Digital Identity

The clearest difference is rating: Airside Digital Identity at 4.7 against Travel Docs's 4.0. Airside Digital Identity also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 48 months) and ratings volume (6.3K vs 1). Travel Docs's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 16%) and iOS requirement (14.4 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Airside Digital Identity holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Airside Digital Identity has 6.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Travel Docs's written reviews are positive against 16% of Airside Digital Identity's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Travel Docs ships an update every 48 months, Airside Digital Identity monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
