# Learn Chinese vs Learn Chinese Fast Mandarin

The clearest difference is update cadence: Learn Chinese at every 2 weeks against Learn Chinese Fast Mandarin's every 19 months. Learn Chinese also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 4) and rating (4.5 vs 4.3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Learn Chinese sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Learn Chinese Fast Mandarin sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Learn Chinese holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Learn Chinese has 1.2K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Learn Chinese ships an update every 2 weeks, Learn Chinese Fast Mandarin every 19 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
