# WeatherMax+ vs WeatherAlarmApp

The clearest difference is rating: WeatherAlarmApp at 5.0 against WeatherMax+'s 4.5. WeatherAlarmApp also leads on monetization model (free vs freemium) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WeatherMax+ sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and WeatherAlarmApp sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WeatherAlarmApp holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 11 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of WeatherMax+'s written reviews are positive against 75% of WeatherAlarmApp's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WeatherMax+ ships an update monthly, WeatherAlarmApp weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
