# TOR Next Bus vs Toronto Subway Map

The clearest difference is rating: TOR Next Bus at 5.0 against Toronto Subway Map's 4.2. TOR Next Bus also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 12 months). Toronto Subway Map's advantage is ratings volume (58 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TOR Next Bus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Toronto Subway Map sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TOR Next Bus holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Toronto Subway Map has 58 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of TOR Next Bus's written reviews are positive against 31% of Toronto Subway Map's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TOR Next Bus ships an update every 2 months, Toronto Subway Map every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
