# Heart Schools vs SchoolStore

The clearest difference is rating: Heart Schools at 4.8 against SchoolStore's 3.7. Heart Schools also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (39K vs 3). SchoolStore's advantage is iOS requirement (14.2 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Heart Schools holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Heart Schools has 39K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Heart Schools's written reviews are positive against 75% of SchoolStore's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Heart Schools ships an update every 2 months, SchoolStore every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
