# Falk Maps vs OpenstreetNavigation

The clearest difference is rating: Falk Maps at 5.0 against OpenstreetNavigation's 3.8. OpenstreetNavigation's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (11.2 vs 13.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Falk Maps holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 98% of Falk Maps's written reviews are positive against 100% of OpenstreetNavigation's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Falk Maps ships an update every 2 months, OpenstreetNavigation every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
