# Al Jadeed vs AJ Forum

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: AJ Forum at none against Al Jadeed's 4. AJ Forum also leads on review sentiment (50% vs 28%) and update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly). Al Jadeed's advantage is ratings volume (81 vs 2) and device support (4 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Al Jadeed sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. AJ Forum asks for nothing beyond the download.

Al Jadeed holds the better App Store score, 3.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Al Jadeed has 81 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Al Jadeed's written reviews are positive against 50% of AJ Forum's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Al Jadeed ships an update fortnightly, AJ Forum every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
