# Al Jadeed vs Asas Media

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Asas Media at none against Al Jadeed's 4. Asas Media also leads on rating (3.4 vs 3.2). Al Jadeed's advantage is review sentiment (28% vs 0%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Al Jadeed sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Asas Media asks for nothing beyond the download.

Asas Media holds the better App Store score, 3.4 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Al Jadeed has 81 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Al Jadeed's written reviews are positive against 0% of Asas Media's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Al Jadeed ships an update fortnightly, Asas Media every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
