# Al Jadeed vs Basra TV

Al Jadeed and Basra TV both sit at 3.2 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Basra TV's written reviews are positive against 28% of Al Jadeed's. Basra TV also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and update cadence (daily vs fortnightly). Al Jadeed's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (81 vs 2). On price, rating, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Al Jadeed sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Basra TV asks for nothing beyond the download.

Al Jadeed holds the better App Store score, 3.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Al Jadeed has 81 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Al Jadeed's written reviews are positive against 100% of Basra TV's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Al Jadeed ships an update fortnightly, Basra TV daily. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
