# TxtReader Pro vs YiBook

The clearest difference is rating: TxtReader Pro at 3.9 against YiBook's 3.2. YiBook's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 56%) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 13.0). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TxtReader Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and YiBook sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TxtReader Pro holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 8 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of TxtReader Pro's written reviews are positive against 67% of YiBook's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
