# Worm World vs Book

The clearest difference is rating: Worm World at 5.0 against Book's 4.4. Worm World also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 7) and ads (none vs shown). Book's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 31 months) and ratings volume (272 vs 1). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Book sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Worm World asks for nothing beyond the download.

Worm World holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Book has 272 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Worm World's written reviews are positive against 70% of Book's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Worm World ships an update every 31 months, Book every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
