# Hail Trace vs Storm Tracker°

The clearest difference is rating: Storm Tracker° at 4.6 against Hail Trace's 3.3. Storm Tracker° also leads on ratings volume (82K vs 122). Hail Trace's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 8) and ads (none vs shown). On price, chart position, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Storm Tracker° sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Hail Trace asks for nothing beyond the download.

Storm Tracker° holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Storm Tracker° has 82K ratings behind it against 122, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Hail Trace's written reviews are positive against 46% of Storm Tracker°'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
