# GoodSync vs Backblaze

The clearest difference is rating: GoodSync at 3.6 against Backblaze's 2.8. Backblaze's advantage is review sentiment (35% vs 21%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GoodSync holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 2.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 20 and 27 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of GoodSync's written reviews are positive against 35% of Backblaze's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 21, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
