# Real Drum vs Drum Set

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Real Drum at 55% against Drum Set's 0%. Real Drum also leads on ratings volume (50K vs 1) and chart position (#99 vs unranked). Drum Set's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (daily vs fortnightly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Real Drum sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Drum Set sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Drum Set holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Real Drum has 50K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Real Drum's written reviews are positive against 0% of Drum Set's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Real Drum ships an update fortnightly, Drum Set daily. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
