# MIPC vs Canny Cam

The clearest difference is monetization model: MIPC at free with in-app purchases against Canny Cam's subscription. MIPC also leads on ratings volume (2.2K vs 51) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). Canny Cam's advantage is rating (2.5 vs 2.1). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MIPC sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Canny Cam sells 20 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Canny Cam holds the better App Store score, 2.5 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MIPC has 2.2K ratings behind it against 51, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 16% of MIPC's written reviews are positive against 21% of Canny Cam's.

MIPC ships an update fortnightly, Canny Cam every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
