# Verticus vs Join & Shoot

The clearest difference is ads: Verticus at none against Join & Shoot's shown. Verticus also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 27) and iOS requirement (4.3 vs 11.0). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Verticus sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Join & Shoot sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Verticus against 4.6 for Join & Shoot. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Verticus has 1.2K ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Verticus ships an update fortnightly, Join & Shoot every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and August 25, 2026 respectively.
