# Workflowy vs reteNoteLite

The clearest difference is update cadence: Workflowy at weekly against reteNoteLite's every 6 weeks. Workflowy also leads on ratings volume (8.3K vs 2) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). reteNoteLite's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 88%) and iOS requirement (9.3 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Workflowy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and reteNoteLite sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Workflowy holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Workflowy has 8.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Workflowy's written reviews are positive against 100% of reteNoteLite's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Workflowy ships an update weekly, reteNoteLite every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
