# Workflowy vs UpNote

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Workflowy at 8.2K against UpNote's 1.1K. On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Workflowy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and UpNote sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Workflowy against 4.7 for UpNote. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Workflowy has 8.2K ratings behind it against 1.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 88% of Workflowy's written reviews are positive against 86% of UpNote's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
