# Workflowy vs Anytype

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Workflowy at 88% against Anytype's 64%. Workflowy also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (8.2K vs 245). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Workflowy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Anytype sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Workflowy holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Workflowy has 8.2K ratings behind it against 245, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 88% of Workflowy's written reviews are positive against 64% of Anytype's.

Workflowy ships an update weekly, Anytype fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
