# Make Cake vs Donut Maker Deluxe

The clearest difference is rating: Make Cake at 4.7 against Donut Maker Deluxe's 4.0. Make Cake also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (1.5K vs 22). Donut Maker Deluxe's advantage is review sentiment (87% vs 72%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Make Cake sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Donut Maker Deluxe sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Make Cake holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Make Cake has 1.5K ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Make Cake's written reviews are positive against 87% of Donut Maker Deluxe's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Make Cake ships an update every 2 weeks, Donut Maker Deluxe every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
