# Starfall Learn to Read vs Sunshine Online

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Starfall Learn to Read at 71% against Sunshine Online's 22%. Starfall Learn to Read also leads on ratings volume (228 vs 1). Sunshine Online's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.2) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 9 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sunshine Online holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Starfall Learn to Read has 228 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Starfall Learn to Read's written reviews are positive against 22% of Sunshine Online's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
