# Vidometer vs Salo Dual Camera

The clearest difference is rating: Salo Dual Camera at 4.3 against Vidometer's 3.8. Salo Dual Camera also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). Vidometer's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vidometer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Salo Dual Camera sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Salo Dual Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 58 and 129 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Vidometer's written reviews are positive against 58% of Salo Dual Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
