# Auto Camera vs M=Camera

The clearest difference is rating: M=Camera at 4.7 against Auto Camera's 1.0. M=Camera also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 40 months) and ratings volume (19 vs 1). Auto Camera's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (71% vs 59%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Auto Camera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and M=Camera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

M=Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: M=Camera has 19 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Auto Camera's written reviews are positive against 59% of M=Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Auto Camera ships an update every 40 months, M=Camera every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
