# TiveHD vs Y

The clearest difference is update cadence: Y at every 2 weeks against TiveHD's every 2 months. TiveHD's advantage is iOS requirement (7.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TiveHD ships an update every 2 months, Y every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
