# Safari vs Count Pad

The clearest difference is ads: Count Pad at none against Safari's shown. Safari's advantage is update cadence (every 9 months vs every 22 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Safari sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and Count Pad sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Safari ships an update every 9 months, Count Pad every 22 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 10, 2026 respectively.
