# Lighter vs Air Horn Multi

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Air Horn Multi at none against Lighter's 3. Air Horn Multi also leads on review sentiment (70% vs 47%) and ratings volume (4.4K vs 1K). Lighter's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and update cadence (every 4 months vs every 9 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lighter sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Air Horn Multi asks for nothing beyond the download.

Lighter holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1K and 4.4K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Lighter's written reviews are positive against 70% of Air Horn Multi's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Lighter ships an update every 4 months, Air Horn Multi every 9 months. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
