# Lighter vs Coin Flip 3D

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Coin Flip 3D at none against Lighter's 3. Coin Flip 3D also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (68% vs 47%). Lighter's advantage is update cadence (every 4 months vs every 43 months) and ratings volume (1K vs 17). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lighter sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Coin Flip 3D asks for nothing beyond the download.

Lighter holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lighter has 1K ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Lighter's written reviews are positive against 68% of Coin Flip 3D's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Lighter ships an update every 4 months, Coin Flip 3D every 43 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
