# Star Press vs BCD E

The clearest difference is rating: BCD E at 5.0 against Star Press's 4.4. BCD E also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and iOS requirement (12.4 vs 18.6). Star Press's advantage is ratings volume (1K vs 3) and update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Star Press sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. BCD E asks for nothing beyond the download.

BCD E holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Star Press has 1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Star Press ships an update monthly, BCD E every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
