# BACtrack vs Golf Test Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Golf Test Pro at 5.0 against BACtrack's 4.2. Golf Test Pro also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). BACtrack's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 2) and iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BACtrack sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $39.99 per year and Golf Test Pro sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Golf Test Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BACtrack has 1.5K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BACtrack ships an update fortnightly, Golf Test Pro every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
