# TrueLook vs SmartRock

The clearest difference is update cadence: SmartRock at every 2 weeks against TrueLook's every 10 months. SmartRock also leads on review sentiment (67% vs 40%) and ratings volume (13 vs 2). TrueLook's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TrueLook holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SmartRock has 13 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of TrueLook's written reviews are positive against 67% of SmartRock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TrueLook ships an update every 10 months, SmartRock every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
